We all have mental health, and how it affects our daily lives varies between each of us. All of us experience difficult situations at some points in our lives that we feel emotional or even overwhelmed. The important thing to remember is that support is available, and we’re not alone in our journey.

How I work?

In terms of therapeutic  approaches, I will work collaboratively with you to decide the type(s) of therapy that suit your expectations, goals and presenting issues. I mostly apply relational approaches (e.g. psychodynamic, client-centred) with the incorporation of creative methods, such as projective drawings and dream interpretation. I also practice systemic and relational CBT therapies. This means that I use a variety of approaches, where each client is viewed as an individual with different needs from the therapy process.

In psychodynamic therapy, I focus on the unconscious processes and past events, which will facilitate you to make sense of what is going on through enhancing self-awareness into present difficulties. In CBT, your concerns will be explored by identifying and understanding the interactions between your cognition, emotion, behaviour and physiology. Between-session home practice will be given if we agree that CBT may be the most helpful approach for you.

Besides this, I'm a trained EMDR therapist. If you are experiencing any emotional distress followed by a traumatic experience, I am able to provide this specific psychotherapy treatment.

I offer both short-term and long-term counselling sessions to suit individual's needs and circumstances.
